New Tarriff Rules & what they mean for our US Based Customers 🇺🇸

***UPDATED FEBRUARY 2026 - SIGNIFICANTLY REDUCED BROKERAGE FEES 

Good News About a Not-So-Good Change – Effective August 29th, 2025
(We know this isn’t the most exciting update, but the details are important!)

For years, U.S. orders under $800.00 were duty-free thanks to the de minimis rule (yes, it’s real—Google it!). Unfortunately, as of August 29th, 2025, that rule ended. This means all international orders shipped into the USA will now have duties and brokerage and disbursment fees applied.

But here’s the bright side: we’re handling everything for you so your order stays simple and stress-free.

What’s Changed (And Why It’s Better for You)

Like before, all orders will ship DDP (Delivered Duties Paid)—meaning your gloves arrive with no surprise calls, no paperwork, and no unexpected fees.

Duties will be automatically calculated at checkout, averaging 22–24% of your order value for gloves.

When these tariffs first came into effect, we shipped U.S. orders with UPS because it offered the best balance of speed and cost at the time. However, brokerage and clearance fees were $30 per shipment, which we know just plain sucked! 

The good news: we’ve been working behind the scenes to improve this.

By switching to Canada Post + USPS, we’ve reduced brokerage fees to $7.50 per shipment from the previous $30.00 —a significant drop of $22.50.

While we can’t eliminate duties, this change allows us to absorb a portion of the costs and keep your total fees as low and predictable as possible.

A flat $7.50 brokerage & disbursement fee will apply per order, plus our regular $15 shipping.

➡️ You’ll see a simple $22.50 fee at checkout when selecting your shipping option, plus the applicable Duties calculated based upon the value of your order.

Since this rule applies to all shipments into the USA under $800, there may be slight delays while orders clear customs.

Unfortunately, we have no control over customs processing times.

We know this isn’t the most exciting news, but our goal is to keep things easy, transparent, and fair. That way, you can focus on enjoying your new gloves—not surprise fees or paperwork.
